Design a Logo for a new Tourism Company

Contest Brief

I am looking to create a professional yet fun new logo that will encompass and convey what we are about. The logo should be 1. clean 2. look good 3. recognisable (familiar) and 4. adaptable.

We are based in Europe and our new company will have several smaller tour companies under its name. These include but are not limited to: Beer and brewery tours, walking tours, bike tours, private day trip tours, virtual reality tours, oktoberfest tours and others. The name of the company is "The Local Experience". Our focus is on making people feel like they are getting authentic local experiences from actual locals.

1. Because the type of tours that we offer are so diverse the logo needs to appeal to a massive demographic! It needs to be cool enough for teenagers and college kids but also clean enough for mature adults and parents.

2. The logo should obviously look good! We will want to print tshirts for staff for example and the logo should stand out but not look tacky.

3. I would like if the logo has a certain familiarity that strikes the potential guests. It should NOT be a copy of a different logo but when people see it they should feel like they have seen it before. It should invoke trust and comfort.

4. Most importantly, it should be adaptable. If possible I want the logo to be a simple element that I can apply to other elements of flyers, maps etc. For example: if the logo has some type of X in it, I can use the same X to mark meeting points on maps or I can use it as bullet points to list what is included in a tour.

I have attached an example of something I made myself as a reference. Your design can use the exact same concept if you would like or you can show us another creative direction. Up to you! Our company colours are red and white. This is our official red colour: RGB: 211, 34, 51 Our motto/tagline is "Tours designed by locals"

If there is a winner to this contest, we can guarantee them some more work down the line as we expand.

UPDATE: I've attached an example of what I mean by adaptable. If the logo can be applied in other creative uses for our promotion and advertising that is a HUGE plus!
