Contest Brief

I need a logo for my Sails of Glory Anchorage website and future products generated from the site. You can view the site here:

My initial thoughts are of something with an anchor and ropes, but I'd love to see any ideas you come up with. My site is a community site for the game Sails of Glory and you can find out more about the game and the graphical look they have used in these two links:

Please note that this is not a Pirate game or themed site, it is set in the Napoleonic age of sail.

Obviously, I would like to have a little bit of a visual tie in with the game, but I want to make sure my logo has it's on distinct identity.

The ship image on the far left is not apart of the logo, just the wording in the blue area towards the middle.

I would need the logo as both a transparent PNG for display on the site and as an Adobe Illustrator (or Corel Draw) file for use on products (screen printed or laser engraved).

As you said, this is not your logo, so leave it and try to make modern style logo for your game as per present time thinking and environments.
