Contest Brief

Dear 3D artists,

show us your interior design skills in Blender!
Can you create a modern room with stylish furniture, flooded in a natural lighting?
If so, participate in our latest contest!

Details to be considered:

- modern loft with a living room part and another section for working

- bright and spacious athmosphere is needed

- industrial architecture artifacts as structural elements can be used (e.g. wooden beams, brick walls, steel construction, large window panes)

- a wooden floor is preferred

- in general: a minimalistic interieur design with corresponding sleek designed furniture is needed (room needs to look uncluttered, yet realistically inhabitated - means: not empty)

- in detail: at least one working desk with a current model of a computing device (Apple MBP, iMac or equivalent), some office utensils, lamps etc.

- living room segment should at least contain a cosy couch, TV set and plants (maybe a full book rack)

- minimum dimensions of the room: 8m lenght, 6m width, 4m height

Please check the attached example images for reference and inspiration.

Formal handover requirements:

- The winner has to provide a Blender file (v2.79) containing all assets: all used textures, materials and lighting.

- Please pay attention to proper scaling and preferably use low poly meshes when possible.

- For preview purposes still images (jpeg) are sufficient, but a 360° view is appreciated (you can upload one using https://360player.io/).

- It is allowed to use royalty-free 3d models but only with sources.

      Dear Khaled, thanks for your message.
      Just for clarification: we need a genius Blender file.
      A transfiguration from a 3DsMax file would not be favourable (due to file size and complex conversion issues for material and lights).

      Concerning the already received entries, a contest extension is not yet decided upon.

      Hi, you are basically free to decide this... Btw. "big" windows with a really nice realistic general light are recommended

      Hi, nope because we don't wanna restrict people but let creativity fly... Btw the room has to be at least 8m long, 6m wide and 4m high in order to properly divide working space and living room space

      Hi, if you manage to convert a good realistic 3ds max file into a blender file, then yes. But for this contest we would like to have a great result in Blender and not in 3dsmax
