Contest Brief

I need a simple but effective logo for a startup company. The company name is TrekLyte. The concept is for travelers to take vacations that are sustainable and less damaging to the Earth. The logo should embody that idea. The logo should be dynamic yet peaceful? We all like the pleasure of travel to new places and experiences. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints....and don't haul all that extra crap around with you that you don't need.? Most of our clients travel by air and take "eco" vacations. Clean and Simple

Everyone had such great entries. It has been so hard to choose, that we opened it to a public poll. I will be contacting some of the higher rated entries about looking at some variations of our logo. I added abstract airplane vectors to the examples. Do not copy them, but any airplane element should be as abstract as they are. Consider a bird-leaf-plane clone. Green shades

Many great entries! Let me clarify some direction. There are too many detailed airplanes. Although this is part of the image, I want it more abstract. Perhaps an arc without a plane. Think of the Amazon smile. It is abstract but we all know what it is. The green leaf is always an eco symbol and could be incorporated. The barefoot abstract is also a possibility. It is past midnight here. I will check back in a few hours. Thank you for the great thought put into your entries.

Thank you for all the great ideas! I will check back in about three hours. I like incorporating the barefoot. The jet should be abstract. What we are about is connecting clients with rental gear and equipment rental for their vacations. I live in the mountain resort area and bringing skis and heavy clothing from tropical areas makes no sense. With our service, travelers do not have to fly so much vacation gear and clothing, so they feel better about their green vacation. Since many people fly to their vacation destination, reducing their footprint is a concern for any traveler. Think of the Amazon smile or the Nike swoosh as a model for the air travel element, abstract but to the point. Again, great entries! With this clarification you may adjust your ideas.

Good entries so far. Perhaps a more abstract airplane is more appropriate. This is as much a business about your vacation choice and fashion as the method of travel. We are promoting renting your vacation wardrobe, toys, and equipment rather that flying them to a destination.
