Contest Brief

I'm looking for an illustrator to create a maximum of 14 images for a short story that was written by my 5 year old grandson. I'm thinking of Shel Silverstein-like drawings, if that rings a bell. We plan to bind the story and gift it to him as a surprise. I'm happy to share the story to get your ideas

Here is the story:
Once upon a time there was a little man and he drove a UPS truck.

He was delivering a package to a house in the forest and a tiger jumped out and went right in his truck. At that point, the back of the truck opened and a package and boxes flew out everywhere on the road.

All the cars that were behind the UPS truck swerved to avoid the packages. The little man UPS driver didn’t know the packages fell out so he kept driving. He didn’t see the big mud hole in front of him and drove right into a big hole with quick sand and mud.

A spider was walking in the road and the UPS man saw it. He swerved around it to avoid running it over.

When he did that he found a road where there were letters. He drove across them and his tire tracks were on them. The letters said, “CPRS.” It was a mystery…what did CPRS mean, he thought? He then realized it meant “MONSTER ALERT” in French in the forest!

He was on alert for a monster.

There was a little house blocking the road on the fence. He suspected a monster lived in this house!

He approached the house with caution, but also with a package that he had to deliver to it, since he WAS a UPS delivery man!

He rang the door bell and knocked on the gate. And then there was water on the house and he slipped and fell.

He said to himself, “No fear!”

He got up and realized no one was home and he was safe.

He left the package, jumped in his truck and drove off. He did not see a monster, but saw BIG footprints going down the path straight ahead. He followed them, but there was nothing there.

Driving away, he got a flat tire because the road was bumpy and twisty.

He kept driving and fell over a cliff, got another flat tire and stopped driving.

The scary monster arrived and wrecked his truck!!! The monster then ran off into the jungle…

He yelled for help and an off-roading truck rescued him and towed him back to his garage.

@ Contest Holder - Hi. We can't exchange email address's under any circumstances. Big Cosmic No-No as far as Freelancer is concerned. If the word count on your story exceeds 1000 words - simply upload a text file, PDF or Word Doc as an attachment - that way anyone can download and read it. Chat with support if you have any difficulty's - they're very nice.

#3 is more like a crazy style that I have, one line continuous strokes; I can do a crossover between my styles to match Shel Silverstein's style, let me know!
