Creative logo design for Father Son property investment and real estate company

Contest Brief

Looking for a simple yet creative design for the company logo. Something more than the typical house roofs and windows that it seems everyone is using. Something that will bring brand recognition by the logo as well as the name.

I prefer simple and something that will translate easily to print, web, hats, clothing and the like without lots of gradients, etc.

Company Name - REJ Properties
Company Purpose - Real Estate Investment / Property Management (Rental Properties, Apartments, Homes, etc)
REJ Properties name comes from Roland (and) Evan Jones Properties, A Father and Son business.
I do want to tie the father/son relationship in the logo if possible but it's not a requirement.

I am attaching a wonderful file I saw from @MSaqlainz that I really like, but it's not exactly it.
I have also attached the ones I have come up with so far - (we really like the blue & gray one) - but am looking for some additional creativity.

    Some really great designs so far. We will be making a decision tomorrow once the contest timeframe has ended.
    I plan on making a list of several that we like and having friends and family vote on them for 24 hours.
