Contest Brief

I need a logo for a sailoat that competes in races in the Pacific North West (Seattle/Vancouver). I want a logo that incorporates the two elements of the name of the boat (Vela Volta) which means Sailing Time in Italian.

The icon, (the name of the boat should not be in the icon) will go on a big sail and the logo (the icon plus the name of the boat; Vela Volta) will go on hats, shirts, jackets, etc.

  Hi, the logo looks too much like car racing. Sail boat racing doesn't use the same flags as car racing.

Hi everyone! Just so you understand, the logo you are designing will be printed on a very large sail. See https://www.google.ca/search?q=spinnakers&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjphqDIqt_SAhVX7WMKHQONBJoQ_AUICCgD&biw=1216&bih=707#spf=1. Take this into consideration when designing the logo.

The logo cannot contain any letters. Just images. So the text "Vela Volta" cannot appear in the designs. Please update your designs to not include any text. Just art work. Ideally the art work would be two parts - sails or sail boat and stopwatch, clock, or hourglass.
