Contest Brief
UPDATE: We've decided on an overall basic logo concept. It will be a hot air balloon that will also read as an explanation mark (!) at the end of the words "Imagination Sauce". Be creative with the balloon and font design. Attached is new PDF file with more detailed instructions and photos for inspiration. I will be increasing the prize amount for the contest. Hope to see some great results. Many of the current entries could easily be modified to fit this design. It can be clean, sketchy, abstract, etc. We are looking for a variety of ideas to fit this concept. Thank you to all those that have made entries so far!
I need a logo designed for a brand "Imagination Sauce" which focuses on many types of designs such a t-shirts, toys, games, arts and crafts etc.
Something that captures childhood imagination.
<strike>The first thing that comes to my mind is something with a hot air balloon, however, it doesn't' have to be. If you have a good idea that captures childhood imagination that doesn't involve a hot air balloon, let me see it! I'm looking for creativity and originality. But a hot air balloon would be good too.
I am looking for a logo that works as just a stand alone logo, and with the text "Imagination Sauce".
It must look good in CMYK color and in black & white. It must be recognizable as small as 1 inch in size. Flat color, NO gradients.
I like the use of negative space, using both the positive design and negative space to make an interesting shape.
This will be used as business card logo, twitter and Facebook profile logos etc. So try to keep it in a square format as best as possible.
Don't be offended if I reject your idea without leaving feedback, it just isn't what I am looking for. Feel free to start from scratch and submit as many ideas as possible. If I think the logo has potential, I will try to leave as best feedback as possible. I really don't know what I am looking for with this project, but will know it when I see it.
Thank you and good luck!
EDIT: I added a PDF file with some samples of logos I like. These don't really apply to the project itself, but look at how the logos use both the positive and negative space to create meaning. I hope it helps. </strike>
