Design a simple UI for a mobile horror game

Contest Brief

Indie game developer building a point 'n click adventure puzzler for mobile platforms. Game has a mature/horror theme; frequent use of blood, dilapidated rooms/buildings, general sense of dread.

Menu Stuff:
- Need a pause button
- a button that displays a tool that assists players with some puzzles in the game
- an icon to represent player's hand is empty
- a button where players go to view objectives and hints
- a scroll-able list interface (with background) where objectives and hints will be displayed.

Navigation Arrows:
- Need up, down, left turn, right turn, left strafe, right strafe buttons that will fit with theme.
- Also need arrow/button to back out of mini-games.

All UI elements should look old, worn,, creepy, maybe a little bloody.. Also need to work across a range of light and dark backgrounds. Colour scheme is artist's choice.

First attachment shows a scene that has existing UI items. Second attachment shows all navigation arrows on screen at same time.

Looking for images to be provided in high-res PNG with transparency.

    Liking some of the ideas so far, but please keep with the horror theme. Buttons should look old, worn, maybe a little bloody..

    Navigation arrows Need to be consistent. Arrows seen in sample are currently used for right turn and left turn.

      Colour theme is your call, buttons just need to be visible across an array of light and dark backgrounds.
