Contest Brief

We are an analytics/data collection company that is about to go through a phase of re-branding. Specifically, we crawl the web and collect data, analyse that data and present findings within a SaaS application.

We need a simple but striking logo/icon that we can use on the web and in print that will be instantly recognizable to our users. We'll use it on apparel, as our twitter avatar, on stickers and on our website.

It needs to be simple enough to be scaled back into black/white and still work, but vivid enough to look modern and fresh on a digital platform.

Our core brand color is #00b4ff.

Other colors we use are #1d2935, #2b3e50, #999999 and #ff2d00.

We really like the concept in the attached file - it depicts a bar chart which will resonate strongly with our users, but at the same time represents an "S" which is the first letter of our brand name. Additionally, we have a new (related) product launch coming up that begins with the letter "C". This logo can be reconfigured quite easily to represent both an S and a C by just moving the bars. We *really* like the idea of a single icon that works for both brands, so perhaps take this concept and expand on it.

It's great to see all these variations on our concept, but it would also be good to see some fresh thinking and new designs being submitted too. Remember we are a data/analytics company so anything that depicts networks/graphs/charts etc will work well for us.

Some advice: please remember that we're a web crawling company that provides analytics services. We need the logo to reference 'data' in some way. Our concept depicts a bar chart, but you can think along the lines of any kind of charting, graphing or data concept. Perhaps also consider connected nodes and how this could be represented in logo form.

To clarify, the logo should NOT depict both "S" and "C" at the same time. This logo design is for use with a brand beginning with "S" only, although we will adapt it to work with "C" later (so this needs to be considered).
