Contest Brief

Hello friends,

We are getting married and we need your help to design our printed invitation and its electronic version for us. We have some basic concepts in mind but we won’t limit your creativity so basically you are free to design your best idea for us.

We have 3 upcoming events and the details should be mentioned in the invitation. They are

1) Martumpol (engagement)
22 June 2019, 10am

2) Holy matrimony
6 July 2019, 9am

3) Traditional ceremony
6 July 2019, 12pm

The concept of the invitation we have in mind
- We want the printed invitation to be useful even after our marriage so we are thinking of designing it as a bookmark
- The size of the invitation shall follow golden ratio (in this case 9cm x 14.6cm)
- One side of the invitation (front side) shall contain the details of our events, and the other side (back side) shall contain a quote and a photo/illustration

Front side
- Our names
- Cartoon illustration of us (like hj-story for example)
- Couple rings icon for martumpol event
- Church icon for holy matrimony
- “Mangulosi” icon (this should be designed yourself). This is a moment where bride and groom are wrapped together using ulos, a traditional handwoven textile (Ulos symbolizes the bond of affection between one person and another, for more information you can google it)
- Event details as mentioned above plus the address QR code (attached)
- Color theme (red, green, peach)

Back side
- Put quote as our wedding theme: “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you”
- The Illustration should describe/portray a verse from the Bible: Psalm 1:3 “He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.”

e-invitation
- This is just another version of the printed version that we will share through social media, whatsapp, etc
- The core design of e-invitation can be copied from the front side design of the physical invitation
- Please put the quote/wedding theme in the e-invitation at the bottom
- It shall follow the golden ratio
- Design shall be in high resolution

Trivia that might help you to design just what we like
- My future wife likes nature, travelling, sea, and has a strong “go-green” passion

Hello, ah, because you have written about the illustration (cartton) in the description I thought this was your picture! Please, pay attention to the overall concept of design. Do you need an illustration to be designed (copied) from your real photo or just one beautiful illustration of a bride and groom?
