We are looking for a design for terraced garden. Roughly measuring 8 metres wide and 20 metres in length with a further 5 metre already terraced section at the bottom with steps. The garden is on a roughly 15-20 degree hill. The steps at the bottom lie centrally, and facing up towards the house the patio steps lie to the left of the patio when facing it. These stairs need to remain the same but the path down the garden is open to interpretation.

Materials such as railway sleepers to be considered for any terracing walls, possibly stepped with planting boxes could be a consideration. One definite request is half way down the garden where a gap in the fence lies would be good to have a small decked area with a pogoda.

Note added: this is a semi-rural area in Yorkshire England. The local area consists of largely stone buildings, although this house is brick. There are views across the valley of farmland, a parish church and village and woodland. Designs should include social space, but also not be too modern with materials or clash with the kind of landscapes expected in this area.
