Contest Brief

Hi - this is a RESEARCH project to find some software library that can save into a DSS audio format from a WAV format.

The underlying project will capture audio from a webpage which reads by default as a PCM blob and the goal is to use the highest lossy compression suitable for human voice.

The winner must find a software library that can convert between the formats. Or alternatively, some other kind of javascript converter into a highly compressible lossy audio format.

And of course - the winner will be invited to code it.

Thanks all. Please no more entries. It seems Sppex is the answer. Can anyone make a webpage that does the full encoding from the microphone and then package it into an App for Android\IOS ?
