Contest Brief

We need a logo for a school called IDY. This is a private school offering different kinds of courses including tuition for secondary school, adult education and teacher training.

The logo needs to include the school name, IDY and the word "academy". The word academy needs to be designed so it can be easily replaced with other words (eg. "lifestyle").

The look needs to be modern, clean and professional. The message that should come across is high quality, holistic education for students and professionals alike.

The logo can be just typographic or it can include a symbol, up to you. It can be single colour or multi colour, but we will need 5 different colour variations for it, because it will be used for 5 different websites.

Deliverables should include working files (PSD or AI) as well as web optimised files (JPG or PNG).

The contest fee also includes design of a namecard and a letterhead using the logo. These are to be completed once the contest is awarded.

Hi all, we have done a second round of rating. As promised we rated every single entry received. and commented on those rated 4 and 5 stars.

Note: we rated many of the new entries 3 stars. Some of these are of good quality but too similar too other entries already rated. Originality is important as well, copying designs won't help you get a higher rating. Thanks for understanding.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please submit your entries in 2D, on a plain background (white or gray). Embossing and other 3D tricks may look good but it makes it difficult to judge the quality of the logo. For those that have already submitted with 3D effects, please help us edit your entry and submit a version of your logo without the effects. Thank you.

  They are the initials of the founder, but for the logo design just treated as a brand name without any special meaning. Thanks
