BOOK SERIES DESIGN – TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN 12 VARIOUS LANGUAGES

REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE: Please provide at least three versions of the design: two for the single language versions + one for the bilingual version: all of them with an interlinked design
The design of the cover itself should be able to transfer the idea of the book being part of a book series and, at the same time, be able to clearly differentiate between the different versions
To focus is majorly about the design of the book series itself. Being a book seriers for kids, you can definitely (and we do recommend to) include drawings. The drawing itself can be taken from the ebook (see link below) or you can use some other drawings (of course, related to the subject: Christmas book for children, the major characters are: a little lady, a mouse and Saint Nicholas).

I need a new book cover for my book series: 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, an American Christmas poem, which we are translating into more than twelve languages. Our goal is to “unite the world” for the children and stimulate multilingualism.

The book is being translated into: Italian, Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Ukrainian, Sicilian dialect, Arab, Hindi... and hopefully Chinese, Russian, Greek & Serbian.

The goal is that the cover will be able to differentiate between the various languages AND the two versions of the book:
1) Single language series (where just one language is shown)
2) Bilingual series (where the poem is shown in both its original English & one foreign language)
Currently, the book covers are distinguished by: 1) naming the language at the top of the cover, in green, 2) changing the title to the language (or putting the title in both languages, in the case of bilingual books), 3) adding the flag of the country inside of a Christmas ornament (in the upper right corner of the book cover), and 4) in the case of bilingual books, a text bubble that says “I SPEAK XXX.”
This isn’t enough, though. Particularly, as we add books in more languages, it is difficult to distinguish among them. We want a MUCH more clean & clear graphical solution. What we are looking for is a design concept for both book versions (to distinguish the single language books from the bilingual books AND to distinguish each language from each other).
We also hope that a long collaboration will begin with the winner of the contest.
This is a challenge, we know! And we appreciate your ideas!
