Contest Brief

I sell luxury vinyl tile stairnose (www.finishededgetechnology.com) to the consumer through my website.

Shipping these has been our biggest challenge. Between the actual customer experience and the damage done in transit, it's been a challenge to say the least not even mentioning the costs of shipping.

I need an elegant package approximately 10" x 10" x 63", ideally with a handle of some sort.

I am submitting some of my own sketches just to give some starting point. I AM NOT a package designer and I may actually not possess a "right brain", so please feel free to deviate COMPLETELY from what I have thrown together.

I'm imaging this as a styrofoam "block" with a stylish "sleeve" which slides over the block & is effectively held in place by the centered handle. (see sketches)

You should be able to draw from the website for images, text and art files, so as to have a unified look.
If you need high resolution files of logo, etc, I should be able to provide them.

The most important thing is the protection of the product, but the customer experience has to be considered as well. The ideal solution will provide a top tier customer experience.

*It should be noted that I have NO IDEA what is and isn't possible in the world of styrofoam (or other similarly protective) packaging. Please don't submit design ideas that are impossible or overly costly to produce.
