Contest Brief

Dear creatives, this is the opportunity for you to make a brilliant impression and recommend yourself for a complete website redesign as a follow up contract. We would like to get a new redesign for our online experiment website to aim at two specific, international target markets. So we ask for two country-specific design versions of our website’s front page. Just the front-page, not an entire web presence. We aim at a better first impression.

NOTE: Please do NOT IMPLEMENT or CODE or BUILD or CREATE a website.

In addition, we would like to get your feedback on how you approach such a design task and what resources you work with. This feedback will help our research to better understand how people ‘in the wild’ work. Please read the following instructions carefully:

A website will guide you through two tasks, each one for people from a specific country. They are described in detail, with links to supportive material. Be creative, all material and the old design shall just help you to understand what our website is about. Try to convince us that your design is best for the intended target groups!
We will track the time, but don’t feel rushed by this, it won't affect the contest!
There are two sub-tasks. Please complete each subtask in one sitting. You can take a break between the sub-tasks.
For giving feedback on their workflow, the first 40 participants will each be compensated with a $15 voucher. You will receive this reward regardless of your design draft.
The contest aims at motivating you to design the best version of the front page you can think of, whereas the $15 compensation aims at making you feel comfortable to add in extra time for telling us about your process.

Please, use a laptop or PC and a recent browser (Chrome or Firefox would be best) when entering the website. We need your email to relate the drafts to your freelancer account, plus, to send you the voucher. All collected data will be destroyed once we finish the research project, which will be in October at the latest.

Your websites has issues showing the "Next" button on Firefox. It works well on Safari although.
