Hello artists!

My name is Angus and I want to start a streaming channel. This is to be my first attempt at the venture and I've been captivated by the Vtuber Phenomenon, anime-style personas that act as an avatar for streaming, videos and other virtual entertainment. However, the character I have in my head needs to be more defined before I want to commit to commissioning a model and get it rigged for Vtube Studio. If this ends up being a success I'd be willing to continue working with some of you in the near future for things like channel banners, stream assets and the actual Vtuber model itself. As it stands, I'm mostly concerned with crystallizing the character design that I have in my head into something that could be a vtuber model.

I have attached some images that give a little better of an idea of the character design I have in mind. The character is to be called Sachawon [Lost Boy], "Sachawon" literally meaning "4th Dimension" in Korean. The word is often used to describe someone that is unusual but endearing. The character gets himself lost intentionally because he doesn't fit in anywhere, as a means to encounter new friends and experiences - context for why he streams and to tie in with his name.

I'm leaning toward a more grounded, less gimmicky character design that that can stand out among other streamers, but something definitively masculine and capable of being playful.
I'm imagining a young man in his early 20's possessing:
Tanned skin - dude spends a lot of time outdoors.
Lightly muscled - the physique of a swimmer
Gold ear piercings
Green/teal/blue eyes with a matching jade necklace. Something like a magatama or a matau
Dark/curly/unkempt hair - this is a style that doesn't show up a lot in an anime style often. The referenced images each show an example of something that I'm leaning towards.
A yellow, form-fitting, long-sleeve shirt or something similar
I'm not completely sure with where to go with the lower body. I'm currently imagining something akin to street fashion cargo pants or a slim-fit pair of jeans but still not sure. Similar situation with shoes. Not a fan of weathered clothing.

I have no desire to copy the designs of any other company or group in any way. I want the design to be 100% origional.

      Apologies for the late reply, the joy of time zones.
      The winner has not yet been selected. I've been blown away with the level of quality that others have submitted so far, and I'm still not completely decided. If you still wish to submit a design, go for it.

      You can use google image search, or yandex.com upload your image then you'll find the similar image or copy

    Hi, a few questions :) 1. Are you asking only for the character design? 2. Or its along with live2d character model design? Once the character design confirmed, I can provide the character with separated layers ready to be rigged.

      Good questions. I'm currently after character design at the moment, but I intend to commission a character model specifically for live2D based on what comes out of this competition. The character concept I had in my head before this competition was too undefined and leaned too closely to some of the artwork that had inspired the persona for me to be comfortable with committing to the potentially expensive & time-consuming modeling/rigging process.
      I want to ensure that there will be as few revisions as possible for myself and the artists I commission, if at least for the sake of sanity.
