Contest Brief

Simple company LOGO required.

Logo required to be put on drawing title sheets, and in the top right corner of word documents.

Need to have a vectorised version, provided in native source file PNG and PDF, together with a high resolution JPG capable of being printed at A4.

Provide files for the three types listed below:
Full colour
Greyscale
Black & white.

Logo needs to be able to be adapted for colour, but primarily will be used in greyscale or black & white.

Colours preferable are blues, greens and grey rather than harsh red’s and yellows, simple use of colour rather than overuse.

Logo size generally approx 15mm - 25 high, width may vary but possibly something that is reasonably square or rectangular to proportions of the height, ie, 2x 2.5x rather than random number.

Logo not to be too overcomplicated, or have a complicated one for cover pages and a abridged short version for header/footers. Depends on the concept you are considering.

Company is called DESIGN COORDINATION & MANAGEMENT LTD, but trades as DESIGN COORDINATION, and is an architectural design business coordinating the designs of others and making them work, checking for errors and omissions so that all the pieces of the jigsaw fit together. Essentially, making a square peg fit a round hole. It’s the centre point for all technical queries, channelling them then onto relevant parties to get resolution so the end result is a building that can be constructed with ease.

Company is all about the technical aspects, and precision. Ideally this should be portrayed in the logo.

The company also undertakes architectural design, but coordination is the main focus taking input from others and sitting between the consultants and site checking queries from site before passing to Consultants if valid, and checking documents from Consultants before passing to site..

The logo should reflect the above, and some insight into the concept you might wish to develop, or low resolution/sketch example to help choose the person to develop into the logo to be used may be helpful.

Offer to include for revisions necessary to complete the exercise, which hopefully should be minor if your concept which you will be selected on has merit.

    This is the first project I am running, I'm testing the waters, but am also after a very simple logo which in honesty should probably take the person with the right imagination and spark about 5 minutes to do. Its about finding the person with the best concept to take forward.

      Quite like 1, possibly turning from rought to "coordinated" ... 2 has possibilities also, though keen to not get tied to domestic, as some of our work is offices, hotels & other large buildings.
