We are looking for a talented UXer, whether you call yourself a UX designer, interaction designer, user researcher, information architect or visual artist. We need someone able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys. Translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes (we heavily use Axure), mockups and prototypes. This expert will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing (start your proposal with the color of the sky). PS: Proposal without a video will be discarded: _( ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Separate yourself from those who spam and start your proposal with the color of the desert. Good luck! @bhardwick please add these two screening questions 1. Show an example for: (all required) - user research analysis or persona (how to) - Usability test report - Axure wireframe (complex interactivity) 2. Create and paste a URL including a 5 min video explaining: (Video quality is irrelevant) - Why should we hire you? - Which of the required job skills do you feel you are strongest at? - Which part of this project do you think will take the most time? Why?
This project requires to create a concept and prototype for a connected smart device that will be able to alter peoples shopping behaviours (no need to create the actual device, it only can be included in the concept explaining what the device is or a description of the different components that contribute to overall solution). This high fidelity prototype of either mobile app or website needs to be created with Adobe Photoshop or Axure. This device will represent an online shopping supermarket that will enable people to identify products they normally purchase online through physical interactions with products in their home. The device can work in conjunction with a mobile app or web application that shows the products before submitting the orders. The main interaction with the device to add products to the order/basket must only be done by different interaction modes (at least two), but no text input allowed. It is needed to identify and prototype the most suitable interactions of the way people will use such device. It is not required to create a working physical prototype of a smart object. The whole idea behind this is to design interactions for a new type of shopping. Let’s assume as part of your concept people scan things (e.g. bar codes) then you could probably need a mobile app or web app that would show people what they added to their shopping and to complete the payment or select a delivery time etc. There is a structured report to be between 2500-3000 words that needs to include: Introduction Background Research (Processes and Frameworks for Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design Theory) Design Process (Interaction Design Research, Conceptual Design) Prototype
