We recently developed our own CRM for our small company (we have 600 clients) in MS Access. The program is great, but now that it's finished, we realize that we should have made it in MySQL so that we can access it anywhere, and from iOS. Furthermore, we want to hire someone who can take that new software and link all of our customer accounts (charges and payments) to our Quickbooks Online account. I currently have an MS Access Database that uses adodb recordsets for retrieving data from a remote MS SQL server database that is currently exposed to the internet. Having the database exposed to the internet in this way is bad practice and is open to it being attacked. The alternative is to create an API web service on the same server where the SQL Database resides. I would then like to have 4 basic web api's that can be used for Creating, Retrieving, Updating and Deleting records from a single table. I can already programatically call an API service using VBA with help of the WinHttp or Microsoft xml v6.0 object libraries from within MS Access. I need to have a web service that will receive http calls and return responses in Json notation.

Hello, We'd like a database application that's hosted online for about 3 users to access. We currently have a simple access database but would like to develop something more user friendly. The database is used to track our inventory of boxes that we pick up, deliver, and shred. The database will need to include the box barcode ID, box description, customer, pickup date, delivery date, shred date, box size, and a few other fields. We'd also like to run reports that show, for example, how many boxes we have for each customer.
