Change the notification number on the badge of my app

I have an app that was built using xamarin. I am having an issue in setting the number on the badge dynamically in the app (it is only set in the notification, however I wasnt to edit this dynamically in the code). If you know how to fix it in xamarin or in a customized code in java for android please bid now
