Seeking Senior Editor with Digital Publication Experience

We are looking for a senior editor with digital publication experience to manage a remote team of writers and editors. We need at least a 20/hr a week commitment and are looking for someone who will be deliberate in implementing standards and expectations to improve the content put out by our team. Responsibilities: • Brainstorm, assign, edit, and publish engaging stories in a fast-paced, digital-first environment • Maintain/manage a large team of freelance writers • Adapt to changing scenarios deftly and quickly, including reacting to customer requests for article adjustment • Recruiting and onboarding new writers • Manage writing staff to deadlines • Implement and maintain quality standards Required: • Four years of digital editorial experience • Ability to rapidly recruit and hire part-time and freelance writers • Excellent communication skills • Comfortable in a dynamic/fast-paced environment • Intrinsic need to put out quality content (useful, entertaining, engaging, etc - as appropriate) Preferred: • Knowledge of Google Analytics, WordPress, and SEO basics • Experience Managing a remote team • A desire to improve the quality of our content and team
