Digitally clean up a bad iphone meeting recording

I recorded a 1 hour meeting with my iphone the volume of those talking is quite low.

I'm hoping someone with a sound engineering background can improve the volume, remove the hiss pops and crackles and focus on making the speech listenable. I've tried a basic "select all -> Remove noise" function in Audacity and Audition to a small degree of success but without a sound engineering degree it's not quite as listenable as I'd like. I need someone with experience to make it as good as possible.
