Harris County and Houston Health Administrative Building

Project Goals The City of Houston and The Harris County Management team as part of their facility improvement program and joint management of the City and Country Resources has committed to build a central administrative and health care facility to manage the North Est portion of the City. As a result of their commitment to have been selected to design a new facility that will assist the city and the county addressing most needed resources in providing health and education when dealing with underserved and underrepresented neighborhoods in the County. Both when dealing with natural disasters as well as daily provision of health services. This new proto-type building will combine as an experiment for future deployment of similar regional facilities to create a more open and public access system to the citizens of the city and the county. Your design must be contextually appropriate to the history, vernacular, scale, & culture of the neighborhood, and not give the look of a plain government building. Develop a master plan for the site which will include your new facility along a proposed site for a second county facility, a small work training Emergency Operations Center.
