I am having a hard time understanding what your really asking for here. I will try to clarify. You have a virtual machine that is ON all the time. This VM is used to start/stop all of your other virtual machines in your Azure subscription in question. You have added some more virtual machines that need to be added to the start/stop list of vm's ? I'm going to need you to define more clearly what you have and what you are looking for I can look at your azure VM resizing issue. But I am still unclear what your looking for in your main request. I work with Azure on a daily bases for ARM template deployments and user labs.

Could help with an optimized solution to configure the scripts in Azure to start/stop VMS as per your needs without the need of an always open system(just in case it gets closed or failure?). Would need further details on the Microsoft support fix to further see through the project.

Hi, I have good experience working with MS Azure Automation, and have done n numbers of scripting. For Azure start Stop-VM i have done particularly based on Time and based on Windows process state. I can give you more details through email.

currently i have automated vm startup and shutdown in one of my environment to reduce cost during no business hours. i can do the automation of VM's start/stop .
