Role: Debt Restructuring VP

Project context and background:

- Debt restructuring and fundraising exercise.

- They are looking for a VP that would work with the founder MD of the organisation and a Principal that is leading this project, take the direction from him and then run the mandate with the team of associates who will be assisting on this project.

Target outcomes/project deliverables:

- The Consultant is expected to effectively lead the full execution component of the

mandate - restructuring of the group and fund infusion - has to manage the mandate

deliverables and stakeholders.

Key skills and experience needed

• Basic Criteria:

o Years of Experience: 7-10

o Domain experience: Infrastructure, Power, Steel, EPC

o Size: Handled loan portfolios, or structuring, of >500 crores or above

• Quantitative Skills:

o Structured Credit and Finance Knowledge: Strong structured credit mindset is the preferred option which has a combination of debt and equity both. Should know debt funding, project finance & appraisal, business plan preparation and financial modelling, and business valuation. Also distress debt, project finance, syndication background.

• Qualitative Assessment Criteria:

o Relationship Management: manage existing relations (both corporate, lenders and fund houses). Experience in dealing with special situation asset class namely corporate facing financial mismatch but has potential to turnaround and grow (not merely growth capital or vanilla debt syndication or growth private equity)

o Team Management: Should be able to give clear direction, appropriate delegation based on strengths of the junior team and mentor them from time to time

o Stakeholder Management: Should be able to manage all stakeholders with clear communication and timelines. Should be able to negotiate deliverables and close conversations

o Time Management: To be able to understand the criticality of the mandate deliverables and accordingly plan tasks around it

o Communication: Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to prepare complex documents or arguments that are to the point

Location Mumbai based but extensive travel to Ahmedabad (2-3 days every 2-3 weeks)

Duration 6 months

Budget Fee budget - Open. Travel & Stay to be paid by Client.
