Systems Dynamics Model Building & Simulation
£36 GBP / hour
I am seeking a skilled professional with experience in systems dynamics, particularly modeling and simulation in applied business and economics scenarios.
I am interested in using system dynamics to model human behaviour in groups for business purposes. Initially I would just like to talk (on a paying basis) to people who might be able to help me, but would then like to start building simple models. I would be interested to know more about your academic background, how you came to systems dynamics, and whether you have ever done any similar modelling of human behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use systems dynamics principles to build models of a range of human behavioural scenarios
- Apply theory to practical business and economics settings
- Conduct testing and improvements until model functionality is achieved
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Strong background in systems dynamics
- Familiarity with one or more leading systems dynamics platforms (e.g. Stella or Vensim)
- Proven broader experience with data analytics, modeling and simulation using other tools (e.g. Python, R, ML) and techniques besides systems dynamics. This may be important in understanding some of the work we already do, and translating it into systems dynamics modelling approaches.
- Understanding of typical business operations, processes and challenges in larger companies
- Proven track record of creating functional models
The ultimate goal of this project is to develop a functioning computer model, which will be used to understand and solve complex business and economic questions. Please note, this is not research paper-oriented; the focus will solely be on the creation of an operational model.
