I work for a MEP contractor. We've purchased an industrial bender, and I am tasked with identifying how to take our 3D CAD models and automate the creation of the Bender scripts. Our CAD programs (AutoCAD) works with absolute 3D XYZ coordinates. I'm able to extract these coordinates from the program into a csv or txt file. I can also program the creation of the bender script, however, am struggling to identify a way to convert XYZ to the Length Rotation Angle (LRA) values which the bender needs to operate. I've put a picture showing an example of what I'm referring to (bender [login to view URL]). I've attached an example of one of the text files I can generate from CAD (C29867-B60-PCWS...). The values I'm concerned with getting converted are the XYZ points listed within that text file. I've also got a video of the bender in action (for you to visualize what the data is used for): [login to view URL] As a deliverable, I'd like this as a C# function, however, if I have the equation, I may be able to do this myself.
