You've got the same problem as Kubrick, when he hired Nabokov to script "Lolita" -- and the screenplay would have run over three hours. To paraphrase Elmore Leonard, maybe you should cut the parts people tend to skip. I have a history in language dubbing for children's TV animated series, as adapter, translator, editor, director and producer. I dubbed "Ferdy the Ant" from the German, and added a verse narration. "Anne of Green Gables" was also one of many 26-min x 26 episode series. The customers for these projects were Spanish and German firms, and the South African Broadcasting Corporation. I'm a published novelist and ghost writer, with a BA (English) from the University of London, and the Sanlam Literary Award for my fantasy "After the Eclipse". I have a good concept of plot arc. Check out Tom Learmont, Tom Rymour on Amazon and KindIe. I don't know if I could help you, but I'm willing to try. Sounds like fun. Why don't we chat?
