Write me a short story

I'm looking for a simple, creative, but most importantly original short story. The only details that should be incorporated include: The story's main character is a robot whose wandering the universe in his ship, his ship gets hit with an asteroid and as a result it crashes onto a nearby planet. The planet is mostly barren but has some life, just not intelligent life as complex as humans. I don't have much else to go by so there's lots of room for creativity.
