Hello, I did my ancestry in GRAMPS and finally in Ages. Export via GEDCOM is the best way forward, BUT you ned to be aware, what you want to achieve. GEDCOM is still no really good standard, some times notes are lost and you get many indivdiual items, like persons, places with IDs an so on.
I think you need to be clear upfront, whereto you want to import finally. There may be frustration in the end, as not all information is transferable (although you use a GEDCOM standard).
I would be happy to be of help. So I bid here to support you on the transfer. Assuming you do not want just the bare data. If that is of help for you, then let us try.
Please be aware, that completing this task in 5 days (or less) is only possible, if you help in reducing the GEDCOM incosistencies. Otherwise please be aware that the transfer might take longer. In addition you need to put effort on the task of determining your new target software.
I am doing my ancestry for East Prussia and it is so frustrating to have been forced to move data between two softwares in the midst of the process and to lose data (in my case lose references to the church record sources). It is a painful process.
Cheers
Gerd
