Sybase db and frontend issue needs to be resolved

I am experiencing a data updating issue with my Sybase database and require assistance from a skilled freelancer. The issue pertains to the entire database and not a specific table. The frontend programming language is unspecified, and I need someone with knowledge and expertise in resolving Sybase database issues, familiar with the following:

- Troubleshooting data updating issues
Specifics:
Eaglesoft is a software application for dental offices that uses SQL Anywhere.
I created another application which retrieves and updates data in Eaglesoft database which is Sybase. In my application I modify appointment records in the DB to set them as confirmed by the patient. I can do "select * from table" and I can see that the change has actually been written to the DB, but nothing changes in the application frontend for 30-60 minutes. Sometimes it even takes longer to show the update. Looking in the Eaglesoft Schedule frontend module, I don't see that change take effect for 30-60 minutes, sometimes even longer. I can navigate days / weeks / months away from the date in question, which should be accessing the DB, but I don't see a change. If I modify the appointment in the ESoft Schedule directly, it updates the DB right away. SO BASICALLY, UPDATING DB DIRECTLY DOESN'T UPDATE THE FRONTEND BUT UPDATING FRONTEND UPDATES THE DB INSTANTLY.
Restarting the Eaglesoft application has no effect, BUT restarting the DB service does. If I restart the database, then the application detects a change. This is the only reason I am asking here, everything else points to it being a software problem, but restarting a running database doesn't seem like it would help anything unless there was a FLUSH() or something that wasn't written till it closed. Or the frontend loads the data from memory and memory refreshes after some predefined time.
I NEED A SOLUTION TO WHAT I CAN DO IN MY APPLICATION SO THAT THE FRONTEND INSTANTLY REFLECTS THE CHANGE MADE IN THE DATABASE DIRECTLY.
