An experienced Electrical design engineer is required for a project of manufacturing HV switchgear. The job is to produce wiring and termination diagrams. Examples of both termination and wiring diagrams are attached. The candidate shall be able to extract the termination information as well as the type and model of equipment from the available circuit diagrams and catalogues and produce termination and wiring diagrams as per the attached examples. The quality of the drawings up to IEC standards is a key in this project. The time for this job is very tight and we need the candidate to dedicate their full time in next two weeks to complete the job. Depending on the quality of work, the contract may be extended to two months. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and have experience within HV switchgear manufacturing industry. Expert in Electrical Autocad is a key for this role. Mandatory requirements: Expertise in Autocad electrical Minimum 5 years’ experience as an HV design engineer Experienced in producing draft CAD drawings Engineering degree or equivalent in electrical field Desirable Requirements: Experience in HV switchgear manufacturer Knowledge of Schneider relays (MiCOM) To Apply for this role the engineer must provide a demo part of their interview: Trial: [Please find attached Circuit diagram (Motor Feeder [login to view URL]) and produce a sheet of termination schedule(similar to termination [login to view URL] and 4) and one page of Wiring diagram(similar to Wiring [login to view URL] to 3 ), the selected equipment for both wiring and termination diagrams are arbitrary. Hi, I'm Electrical Engineer with Masters in Electrical Engineering, Automation. I have 12 years experience with substation automation and protection systems on voltage levels from 6.3kV up to 400kV. My main expertise is protection and have done many medium voltage (6.3 to 38kV) switchgear with similar equipment (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Alstom, ... ). I know Micom relays and switchgear very well. Motor protection I was doing mostly on power plants up to 300MW. Are you looking for drafting or really design work ( including equipment selection/verification, calculation of CT/VT, burdens , votage drops, ... I run small enginerering company and could offer you to include some of the associates that I work with, so it could speed up the whole job if schedule is very tight. I can coordinate with them and communicate with you, but we can put more than 1 resource to do this and gain some advantage in time. Is this some protection retrofitting job ? If it is, you will need a little bit more than purely AutoCAD knowledge, I think experice in retrofitting/ refurbishing experience could prove to be essential. Unfortunately I don't think I could accept this kind of assignment , if its design not drafting, for less than 65 NZD / hour and this is really low if compared to normal market prices.
