To be honest, the project is a bit vague for me, you have a Micrologix 1000 PLC (which is Obsolete) and why do you want to understand the code?, Do you want migration to Micro800 series? or is there an issue that you want to fix? If you are familiar with the system I suppose it is easy to get familiar with the code My suggestion: Upload the code from the PLC, re-write the comments manually and track the input/output to understand the code.
