hi there,

i am looking to use gy-80 model to get a stable results from a gyro sensor but it keep drifting in time. Some have suggest that using combination of gyro and accelerometer with a bit of filtering will work as it says in minute 7:57 in that video.

Hi I have worked with MPU9250 to acheive fairly stable yaw, pitch, roll angles. It is a 9 DOF chip similar to GY-80. I have looked into GY-80 codes for reference too, so will have no problem working with it either. So we More

Yes you need complementary filtering algorithm to minimize the drift. I have designed several such systems for drones and robotics. Gyro is accurate in the high frequency range and biased in low frequency. So you need More
