Warehouse Empty Space detection and calculation

We have a interesting project, which we would like a team who has experience in warehouse automation and management to help us develop the appropriate hardware to detect empty space in a warehouse. The size of the warehouse is 87,000 sqft and around 80 feet high.
The project requires to be able to detect where and how much empty floor space is available so it can be rented out to the customer.
Before the project can be awarded to anyone we need to understand how and what technologies they plan to use and at the same time what resources they have to achieve the project. We have our own team of developers and engineers here, hence we need some sharp people who have experience in this field.
We prefer people who have done similar projects like this in the past.
