Hi there, What you need in your project is a model as follows. The interactions between your design and an ear canal should be modelled. One domain of the model is ear canal exhibit viscoelastic material behaviour whereas the other domain, your design is rigid body material I presume. Hence this is a tribology problem should be tackled by a mechanical engineer as they have the necessary theoretical background to study on this topic. Assuming you want the math behind I guess you want a computational study in finite element model or a complete mathematical representation of a process.
