hi, i have checked your model and can improve it using ansys for better heat dissipation based on the heat source. the pcb is not there in the model. i can make the model of pcb as well if it is not there for the simulation purpose. i have done multiple such analysis and can help you with the same.

Hi I'd like to help you with this project. Either Ansys Icepak or Fluent can be used for this task. Depending on the details you need on the project, we can decide on the software. RANS based approach should be appropriate with y+=1 because the thermal boundary layer on a natural convection problem will be tough to solve. k-omega based turbulence model should be used. Radiation has to be included to get realistic results. A very simple surface-surface modelling is enough. Simplifications on the geometry is very important for efficient and stable computation. I'd like to talk about the details. PS. I am an expert ANSYS CFD software user. I used to train people and give tech support.
