I am looking for an artist to create a cover illustration for the second volume of an original sci-fi/speculative fiction series. It was written by a family member, and I am editing the manuscript and preparing it for publication. Clearly I'm not an impartial reviewer, but I could not put it down! The book will be a paperback of about 300 pages, sized probably at 6x9” (15cm wide by 23cm high), so a wraparound illustration including the front, spine and back should probably be around 13x9", not including a bleed. It doesn't need to match the first volume's style exactly, but it's available below as inspiration and as a guide. We are looking for an illustration over which we could superimpose the title, author, and promotional copy on the back. We’re both pretty easy to work with, and can offer ideas and feedback, but would give you lots of freedom to create whatever comes to your mind’s eye.
