My name is Sieanna Cain. I am a singer/songwriter currently living in Edmonton, Alberta. I am looking to get a music video for a project of mine called “Raindrop Pieces” out into the world.
A little bit about my project -
My project is based on my own real life experience. When I was 7 years old my father committed suicide. Although, he wasn’t a huge part of my life due to his illness, this has had a huge impact on me throughout my life. The “what if’s" and the “why’s” will always remain in my heart. My project “Raindrop Pieces” is a heartfelt letter from a daughter, to her father, that had committed suicide. This song is aimed towards anyone that is struggling with, or is a survivor of suicide. Suicide and mental health is something that will forever be near and dear to my heart. My goal in this project is to have the ability to help people through my own experience. I want to make people aware that they are not alone in this struggle and there are many others who struggle with suicide and mental illness. I want to make people aware that there are people willing to help and places to call, if needed. Music is an outlet for many people struggling with suicide and mental health. I know this because it was for myself and I know that I am not alone. My goal is to help as many people as possible by sharing my story with them. The connection through music and video sharing is currently one of the strongest awareness tools. I feel that this could be highly effective on spreading the awareness of suicide prevention and mental illness.
Through my director and casting director we have come up with a budget of 10, 000 to effectively get our message across.
