Create a christmas illustration of the 3 wise men

illustrations are to be used for a children's puzzles. The first image is of the three wise men and the second image will be of children in a classroom setting with a diverse group of children doing different educational activities. I have added some examples of illustrations that i like in order to give an idea of the look and feel of what i want to create.

I am trying to combine two photos to make one good one. For instance, one kid is smiling in one pic while the other is frowning and vice versa. Then I am also trying to add additional details to make the photo appear more "Christmasy." There are a few options to use since I am not sure what is needed as far as lighting, how they are angled, etc... You're the expert here lol.
