Logo for Open Mic Night and also for my band which will have the same name!
Brief:
1. The event concept is that we are constantly stuck in our comfort zones. With all the modern tech we are slowly loosing our creativity as individuals and as a society. The event brings together artists, inventors, story tellers, poets, product developers, start ups, musicians, marketeers and much more. It is an opportunity to network and co-create within an inspirational environment where everybody is encouraged to leave their comfort zones and show their creative sides.
2. The name: I.D OK ->
-> I.D represents Freuds concept of ID -> Our unconscious minds and the place from which all creativity comes from. OK is the acceptance and growth of this part of ourselves.

3. The logo icon is a rocket ship with the name ID OK either inside it our underneath it or whatever looks best. The rocket ship is within either a circle or a triangle. Please take inspiration from the NASA style patches attached.
4. We would like the style of the icon (rocket) to be similar to the logos of NASA. The type fonts used should also be similar to those used by NASA. The rocket ship represents us taking off and leaving our comfort zones behind to gain a new perspective. Perhaps a perspective from above, from our higher selves (from I.D) or our inner beings. (pls find examples attached). The rocket is also a symbol of discovery, of heroism and adventure! Perhaps the planet earth should be visible below the rocket, but we would still like it to remain fairly simple and minamilistic which some of the patches are not.
5. The logo should be within a circle or shapes like those used in NASA patches. The patches found on astronauts space suits, usually on the upper arm (pls find examples attached).
6. In addition the following strapline should be included:
"Now leaving the comfort zone!"
7. Colours we like: Pantone 276c(Background), White (Rocket Ship), Pantone 216c (alternative background), Pantone 17-5641 Emerald. A lighter blue could also be nice! Please use these colours as you see fit. Of course you can add to this if necessary but we do not want too many colours all at once.
The above is a concept, but we are looking for a designer who understands and can embody these ideas into the logo design. It would also be nice if creativity was represented somehow.
The final design needs to be supplied in ai. vector format open to be edited and added to surrounding artwork.
