Order Now will have a drop down that will give people to choose from the following:
a. One off orders (pickup)
b. Fresh Lunches (subscription)
c. Fresh Dinners (subscription)
2a. One off order should enable a person to create an account as well check out as a guest. The details should be captured by a separate database that has one off customers.
2b & 2c. Subscription options (lunches & dinners) takes them to a new page where options are displayed along with their images and description and cost and allergens that they contain. This section will have options for both adults and kids. If you hover over an image you will see the option, 'Add to my Mum's Basket'. When you perform the operation you see a calendar on the right hand side, a weekly calendar (Monday - Sunday) and people should be able to check what days do they want that option. A user can select any number of options for Monday-Friday.
A dynamic total (cost) should be displayed at the bottom of basket. The user has option to start subscription straightaway or from the following week or week after following. Processing time is 1 working day so if someone is subscribing today his subscription can start from day after tomorrow.
When he checks out, we will grab the full name, delivery address, postcode, phone number, email address, date of birth (optional) a message in the box says: we want to surprise you on your birthday. Account password, delivery instructions, credit card details, acceptance to terms and conditions, and option to receive updates and monthly newsletters about the good work in their inbox.
The same process will follow for dinners.
2d. Catering will take them to catering page where they can select the type of event: birthday, marriage, funeral, church/hindu temple/religious event catering, small social event. And then the menus are displayed corresponding to the event. morning tea, afternoon tea. They can see the options they have in each menu and then send us an email from that page suggesting the event, the number of guests, requirements. and then one of our reps will contact them in the next 5-6 hours.
3. Become a Volunteer: We will be working closely with UNICEF NZ and the Auckland City Mission so we need volunteers who can deliver free food to the people who are in need.
Functionality: The main functionality is the flexible usage of data. From the backend we should be able to use the data for marketing, checking how many orders we need to process every day and what are those orders (in the form of a list) and instructions displayed in front of each order, a function that creates a label for each order like Full Name, Delivery Address, and the type of meal the box contains.
The kitchen admin should be able to see the orders for the week so he/she can start their prep accordingly. For example:
Monday (13th November)
Veg Meals: 35
Non Veg Meals: 41
Veg Salads: 12
Non veg salads: 7
Meals with Special instructions: 2 (we can see here what meals do the customer wants)
The overall admin should be able to see the detail of all orders and the data needs to be sortable. If I want to see how many customers have birthdays in November I should be able to see that by sorting the column (or any other way), so please keep the data as granular as possible.
All orders must send an order confirmation email to customers and an invoice of their credit card transaction.
In addition, the website needs a user dashboard as discussed. A registered user should be able to see what he had ordered in the past. So if its a repeat order he can just select any of the previous orders. Also we should be able to track the number of orders per user so he gets a free meal after every 10th meal.
Also, please keep provision of additing or subtracting menu categories from the main page for example, Indian, Fusion, Salads etc.
