Community Manager

Seeking someone with experience on Twitter and Discord to manage accounts for two brands in the video game space. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the past 20 years of video game history, having been an avid player who sees video games as an artistic medium. Having an artistic eye in Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with a complete W-9 form and prior experience as a 1099 contractor. PHASE I: The successful candidate will be provided with a spreadsheet for making categorized/themed post content that follows the mold of already existing post content. Twitter posts will be required at least monthly to meet minimum standards without any expectation for growth. PHASE II: You will serve as a moderator and liaison on Discord with the requirement to protect the privacy of corporate roles and enable the community to self-manage within the rules as much as possible. This can occasionally become analogous to acting as a press secretary, but most of the time the role involves polling feedback, fostering discussion, event planning, and get-out-the-vote messaging. PHASE III: Your role will expand to website related duties such as recruiting writers for the site, adding games and images to the site's back end content management system, and managing the homepage slideshow. PHASE IV: You may have the opportunity to handle outreach to journalists based on confidential information that will be provided. You may be asked to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). Please provide your first quote based on Phase I only. Your relevant experience will be considered as it applies to the other phases, but this does not guarantee work in those phases. Any work in future phases will be under separate milestones that would have to be mutually accepted at a later date. Please include answers to these questions in your bid proposal: 1.
