We have a website that contains ads that we would like to discuss with an ad marketing consultant on how much we should charge to advertise. We are aware of the different models for pricing but wanted to gain insight from someone with experience in the industry. This correspondence will require a signed non-disclosure agreement.
This social discovery network (some might consider it a dating site) is free for users and we hoping to generate income through advertising. The site is specific to Las Vegas, NV and we are using an infinite scrolling grid of company logos where the user can click on them to explore the company's offerings. These companies, as you will see by viewing the enclosed link, are hotel, travel, entertainment, and shopping segments that we believe would benefit from having exposure on this website, especially if we can acquire a significant number of users. The question is how much should we charge for a "block" on our grid? We've had some suggestions along the lines of offering 3 free months initially and to get the hotels to offer us a free room so we can get people to sign up in the hopes of receiving the free room as a giveaway. We also think that pricing should be different for hotels and travel companies, and entertainment venues. Ultimately we want to consult with someone who has experience in determining the price for web-based ads. Here is the link with a example of our grid - [login to view URL]
We envisioned the ads being priced similar to how other companies advertise which I have no knowledge of how that might be structured. Maybe on a yearly basis? Month by month perhaps.
Http://[login to view URL] is a page put together as a resource for potential companies to advertise with us. You will see that we think pricing will be based on what segment a company falls under. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.
