Computer System Specifications Scanner

I WILL NOT RESPOND TO BIDS WHICH DO NOT HAVE COMMENTS SHOWING THEY HAVE READ THIS MATERIAL I need an OS Independent piece of software to scan and detect THE CUSTOMERS CLIENT MACHINE (not the server) computer hardware and OS information IDEALLY - BROWSER BASED: In a perfect world this entire thing would run in a browser and the information fed to a JavaScript function when complete so it can be displayed. However I do not want to use deprecated applet technology and do not know what other options there are for this IF NOT BROWSER BASED: It should be a Java desktop solution so that it runs the same in all computers. When finished gathering the clients computer system specifications, a button press should package these specs as a JSON file and forward to a URL of our chosing. We will require any source code so we can recompile the URL whenever needed. It needs to work on Apple, PC and Linux exactly the same way. The information received from the Applet must be sent to a Javascript Function where you must display it.
