neo4j graph database, friends of friends java

we have a social application which uses mysql for friends table. simply there are 3 columns; id-userid-friendid. We add two records to the table for each friendship, e.g. for user 1 and 3 ; we add userid:1-friendid:3 and userid:3-friendid:1 Calculation of friends of friends is quite complex, and will decrease performance in time. We would like to use neo4j with our java webservices, So when we insert 2 rows to mysql, after successful insert operation we want to call java webservice and send userid, friendid. When user blocks or unfriend we would like to send delete request again with userid,friendid vie javawebservice. So neo4j will be like a backup of our mysql table, they will both work for now, we will need 2 get services from neo4j, 1. retrieve friends 2. retrieve friendship suggestions What we need is creation of neo4j graphdb and java webservice for insert,delete,update and mentioned 2 get services, once our redy system blows up we will start to get suggestions from this ready service.
