Well familiar with Java programming, I can complete your project successfully. I know major Java IDEs, Eclipse, NetBeans and IntelliJ IDEA and will fix your issue on time. I think current javac in JDK has all the functions you need and the problem is to find out if an IDE can support those functions in UI implementation. If not, you can get another IDE that support those functions and migration from one IDE into another will be easy because the project is based on the same Java languages. For examples, Eclipse project(base on ANT building system) for Android can be easily migrated into Android studio project(based on IntelliJ IDEA and use Gradle building system). JCreator was not any compiler. . . JCreator was a an IDE (although not as feature rich as today's modern IDEs). . . . Implementing a (although relatively simple) full-fledged IDE is an "uphill struggle". . . . It's just a huge program. . . The 6 tasks you require can be implemented into a relatively simple (customized to your needs) IDE, but it seems complex due to refinement in operations involved. . :) But JCreator was capable of doing much more than that. . . :) To make it cross platform, It can be made in Java itself (JavaFX for GUI) . :) So you will be able to use it in MacOS as well as Windows/Linux or anything that supports Java. Note : JCreator was made in C/C++ to be fast on even old machines and it was for Windows only. Making it in C/C++ will make it much more difficult as C/C++ don't have any native MacOS libraries for GUI. Hence making them in Java itself would be a wise choice. . . . . There are better ways to do what you want to do with existing tools ;) Anyways. . . It will be a challenging but fun task ;)
