Title: Chrome extension to hide/show certain DOM elements using Mutation Observer API
Hello there,
Hope you are doing well. This is Shamzi here, from Bangalore (India).
I happened to notice your project posted here, regarding creating a Chrome extension that uses Mutation Observer APIs to detect when new elements are added into the DOM of the webpage and hide/show them based on user's preference.
Technical details for implementing the chrome extension:
- I have used Mutation Observer APIs in my previous projects and I have a good understanding of how it works and its intricacies. Using Mutation Observer, we can find when a new element gets added / removed / modified in a webpage and using those callbacks, we can trace whether the element we are tracking, is now been added to the webpage, and then hide it.
- Popover options: Using the Popup option of Chrome extension, we can implement a popover where the user can choose the elements they wish to hide.
A brief summary of my skill-set:
I'm a passionate Web Applications and Browser extensions developer. In my 9+ years of work experience in this field, I have gained sound knowledge on various web technologies (React, Redux, Mobx, Javascript - ES6, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, jQuery, Node.js, Python, Django,).
